We successfuly installed eDISPLAY1 in electric sport car Mazda RX8.

The main reason was checking the motor temperature, as the old electric motor was damaged due coil overheating. In the old motor temperature was only controlled by measuring the temperature of the water cooling system, however with the new motor (which is also more powerful) there is also KTY temperature sensor built in the motor coil itself. Offcourse eDISPLAY shows also other vehicle parameters, such as voltage, current, power etc.

In case that temperature or voltage goes outside the allowed range, audible and visible alarm is heard as well as eDISPLAY sends signal to the motor controller to switch to economy mode (low voltage, high motor temperature) or switch off the motor completely (high temperature limit).
